LOCATION

WAVES

The area of the southern atoll offers mostly unexplored waves which means you mostly will have the lineup almost to yourself without any crowd. Due to the location the southern atoll picks up more swell than any other atoll from any direction with the greatest quantity and variety of surf spots.

As a guest at Ayada Resort you will have a choice of various waves within a few minutes by speed boat and 2 spots right in front of the resort. Goofy footer will be spoiled in this region with Love Charms left-hander as the closest wave and Five Islands just on the opposite side for right-handers. But also Two ways, Blue Bowls, Tiger Stripes and Antiques offer a variety from barreling and hollow walls to soft and never-ending glides.

SURFING

The waves in the Maldives are usually small, from chest high to head high, but on good occasions the waves go well overhead and the swells will hit with some power. The best time for surfing in this region is actually the “off season” of surfing in the Maldives which means the area of the southern atoll offers surfing from September through the end of May.

The Ayada Maldives has a paradise-like setting in the beautiful Gaafu Dhalu atoll which offers seven different types of luxury accommodation. All villas and suites are built & decorated to offer a maximum of privacy and comfort. It combines contemporary traditional Maldivian and Turkish design elements. Beach Villas

Located on the beach tucked into the lush vegetation the Beach Villas offer a beautiful private garden with a spacious plunge pool, a large veranda and a bathroom with bath tub and outdoor shower in the back courtyard.

Beach Suites

The Beach Suites are more spacious than the beach villas which makes them ideal for families with children. They offer direct access to the beach with sea view, a private pool and the opportunity to gaze at the sunrise every morning from the terrace. Bathrooms of Beach Suites have a bath tub and a large back courtyard with outdoor shower.

Ocean Villas

The stilted roomy water villas are built with direct access to the calm water of the lagoon. All of them include a private pool as well as a hammock suspended over the sea.

Garden Villas

Nestled in the lush tropical greenery, the Garden Villas are a perfect retreat for those looking to relax in a stunning private setting. Garden Villas offer a spacious bathroom with a large bathtub and outdoor shower, as well as a garden veranda. Just a few footsteps away from all facilities.

Ayada Royal Ocean Suite

With its distinct location on the edge of the jetty, this duplex split level presidential suite is considered an island enclave that offers spacious bedrooms on the ground and upper floors, a lavish living area and an upper floor terrace providing a 180 degrees view of the Indian Ocean and the horizon with absolute privacy.

DINING

There are 8 restaurants and bars at Ayada Maldives, each offering a different cuisine and unique dining experiences, including Teppanyaki, Mediterranean fine dining and Asian flavors. In each restaurant, fresh organic ingredients are used from their garden and local farms, that makes the food authentic and luxuriously delicious. GETTING THERE

Mahalo Surf Experience can make your journey to Ayada Maldives as seamless as possible.

Upon arrival at Malé (MLE) International Airport you will take a 55-minute flight that gives you a bird’s eye view of the beautiful Maldives archipelago.

You will be met by a representative from Ayada Maldives who will accompany you to the speed boat transfer, which takes approximately 50 minutes.

Note that the maximum size of surfboards allowed on Maldives domestic flights to central & southern Atolls is 7ft including the boradbag.
